The Home Pools' guiding program has been honed over many years and offers some of the very best value available in southern Ontario. It is my mandate, simply to provide you the best opportunity to hook fish, eat well, learn and have fun.
The use of Mackenzie River boats has been the back bone of the operation in the past but walk and wade trips are available upon request or simply when it make more sense.
Our geographic area is so diverse that no matter your preference: be it the confines of a small, intimate trout stream or the brawling currents of a large steelhead river, we can take you there.
The Drift Boat:
Conceived and popularized on the U.S. west coast they were the first river craft used by serious anglers. Despite wide use in the U.S. and Canada's west, the drift boat craze has not yet taken hold in southern Ontario. What this translates to is access to vast expanses of rivers that receive little and often no pressure. Home Pool guests have access to the best fishing offered in the region.
Walk and wade:
Trips are available by request or when it simply makes more sense. So when the use of boats becomes prohibited due to high water or slow fishing, we have available the smaller, more intimate systems less impacted by heavy rains.
Through our time on the water and our vast network of regional intelligence sources, we're able to gather up to the hour information and make the best decision as to where to fish, resulting in success even during the toughest periods. Leave the guess work to us and we'll make certain that you're over fish and not just going for a boat ride.
